Job Description:

The Office Assistant / Event Planner position is responsible for assisting Sales & Event Planning. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post events with pertinent staff and clients to ensure a high level of service.

Responsibilities and Duties

Administrative , Event Planning & Execution

  • Answers phones in a pleasant and friendly manner. Takes messages, gives callers information if known or directs caller to the correct department or person, emails requested materials to clients and staff.
  • Ensuring that all changes to weekly BEOS are properly communicated to Delivery & Kitchen.
  • Assist in execution of events in high volume event periods such as but not limited wedding seasons, holidays, reunions, homecoming, graduation, and school events.
  • Maintain knowledge of all company services, menus, resources and hours of operation.
  • Must be able to exemplify the standards of Waldenwoods that are focused on delighting our guest in a way that creates loyalty. Working quickly, efficiently, and intelligently with exceptional customer service skills is crucial to this position. Assisting Sales & Event Planners with all aspects of event planning from initiation of the proposal to execution of the event; initiate, develop and track client proposals, floor plans, client site visits, pre-con & post con meetings, packing list, direct & manage staff, venue tours, final planning meetings, wedding rehearsals, and staff meetings. Understand customer needs and manage expectations by directing event staff; build relationships with event staff that enable open communication and trust; and deliver on customer expectations .Establish and maintain filing system procedures online and in office.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Requirements
  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
