All activities staff will report to the Activities Manager.
Job Overview
Within the Activities Department, you will provide our members with a safe, fun, and entertaining environment. There are multiple different job functions within this title specific to Activities, Marina, Pool-Attendant, as well as the Lakeside Café & Park-Store staff.
Activities Staff
Facilitate and lead different activities for the members and guests of Waldenwoods Resort. Activities will include sports, games, music, dramatics, social recreation, arts and crafts, while considering the needs and interests of individual members.
Marina Staff
Requirements for this position include running the marina’s concession and small store as well as maintaining a safe, fun, beach and water experience. This includes but is not limited to providing boat rental, monitoring the water park & lake, keeping the beach area, boats, and marina clean, and helping with many sporting activities and events.
Lakeside Café & Park Store Staff
Requirements for this position include making delicious ice cream, hot food, waitress (on occasion), delivery driver (on occasion), cashier, and more. Staff should have a very upbeat personality to interact with our members and guests to provide the best service with a smile.
Qualifications
Must have an outgoing and friendly personality.
Must have the ability to work with/serve people of all ages and walks of life.
Must be dependable, flexible, and responsible.
Must have effective communication skills.
Must have the ability to physically handle staying active all day in the summer heat.
Must pass a background check.
Must commit to stay the entire summer, preferred (May-Oct)
At least 16 years old
Must be able to utilize phone and handheld radios with clear and effective communication.
Have strong swimming abilities.
Specific Skills (these are not required)
Knowledge/experience with the following skills:
Sailing/boating
Sports include but are not limited to- tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, cheerleading, pickleball, baseball, running, etc.
Outdoorsman/survival skills
Previous experience working with camps/campers.
Knowledge of working in a café/convenience store.
CPR/First Aid
